Future Bubba Discussion Page

Well, the year is young and already there is talk of the first bubba for next years party.  Practice cancelled due to a small chill in the air?  There were a few guys so jacked up to play ball that they settled for the next best thing to a zilla pitched BP,  The missoula batting cages.  200 little soccer players and all their parents could handle it.... Waiting lists on fields due to so many teams practicing and the old guys on geritol gather around the fire to talk about what ever old guys talk about.  Therefore I would like to nominate Fairweather Perry for cancelling practice on a bit less than perfect day.

Re: Future Bubba Discussion Page

Point wll taken Zilla. We could have braved the weather. Truth be know however, if everyone hit like I do, I'd have been all for it. However, We have a bunch of guys who, (thankfully) do not hit like I do. So, in my defense, I would like to say that it was not Fairweather Perry who cancelled practice...it was Bat-buyer Perry, who thought it wise to not push the limits of technology.

Hey..last night was a blast. I have pics to post.  We will get back to our normal Fall date for the Bubbas this year.  Thanks for continuuing to provide Bubba material during the course of the softball season. Old Faithful will run dry before you guys quit offering moments of humble inspiration.

Re: Future Bubba Discussion Page

I will second Zillas nomination, however Glovedad does have a valid point about todays glass that we swing today. So if next weekend is a typical Montana spring day I say lets pull out the old metel bats the old school guys used to swing and get some cuts in. Being an old school guy myself I still have a few hanging in my garage.

Re: Future Bubba Discussion Page

Point Well taken.   Man when you stick a size sixteen Tokyo Destroyer in your mouth it takes alot to get it out.  But I am with 34 in that with only one weekend left, till first tourny, I would gladly bring down some cage bats just for the reps and commarodery. And dont be sad Glove Dad you had to know the whole point of this was so that you could get some recognition with the rest of us.

Hey Mister, I don't think you put your Tokyo Destroyer in your mouth...and I agree with you and 34 that we do need to get some practices in.

We have Fort field 4 scheduled for 7:PM this Wednesday, April 14. It was the only open time so I took it.

We are also going this weekend. Sunday at Noon, same place Fort field 4.  I know I told some people Saturday, but have been asked if we can move it to Sunday.

Then we have Fort Field 4 scheduled again next Tuesday, April 20, at 6:PM.

And then we play in the MSA that Saturday, April 24.

Make whichever practices you can. Here we come 2010.

Our humble thank you to the Softball Gods for taking care of us in the off-season and allowing us to be excited about the coming season. We promise we will be good..and God Bless James for he does not mean to create that hole in your ozone with his bodily gasses. He has some emission's issues.. And we are sorry for any swear words that our infielders say out loud. And please know Nanook is not sinning against Bones Fox, when he keeps touching him on his furry little tail. That is another problem. We will be humble winners and gracious losers. And please protect Zilla from line drives that come from the lower arc...or is that Ark?  There are more prayers to be said. We don't want to ask for too much too soon.  Oh yeah, also welcome Mark. We haven't given him his Team Geritol nickname yet. We will await a sign from you, the Softball Gods, before bestowing him with his Missoula monicker.
